Ingredients

120 g dark chocolate couverture
180 grams of butter
300 g quark (40% fat)
150 grams of sour cream
2 tbsp vanilla custard powder
700 g sour cherries in a jar
65 g powdered sugar
4 eggs
100 grams of sugar
100 grams of flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 tsp cornstarch

Directions:

1. First preheat the oven - 200 degrees / 180 convection

2. Then line a springform pan (24 cm) with baking paper. Then drain the cherries well, catching the juice.

Now chop the couverture and let it melt in a hot water bath. Dice butter and dissolve in it.

3. Next, for the cream, whisk together the quark, sour cream, custard powder, powdered sugar and 1 egg until smooth.

4. Now beat the remaining eggs and 120 g sugar until fluffy. Then stir in the melted chocolate butter. Add the flour, cocoa and baking powder.

5. Now put 2/3 of the dough in the springform pan and pull up on the edge and put half of the cherries on top. Put the vanilla quark cream on top and cover with the remaining chocolate dough.

6. Now bake the cake for about 55 to 60 minutes and let it cool down in the tin.

6. Finally bring the cherry juice and cornstarch to the boil while stirring, sweeten if necessary. Fold in the remaining cherries and put them on the finished cake. Ready to snack!
